Disappointed Sony's decision

Sony has decided not to support the model of my laptop.

I'm so disappointed that the only 2 year old, high-end, expensive laptop is NOT supported. As a PC manufacturer, Sony has been trying to position themselves different from other manufacturers by releasing relatively expensive, but cool laptops. But what they've done is differentiating themselves as a not reliable manufacturer.

This is their business oriented model (came with Vista Business). If the company sells a PC, and say 'Your PC won't be supported the next generation of OS in 2, 3 years', who buys that PC? I will never buy a Sony PC.

So far, my laptop is working OK with Windows 7, but the video driver has an issue. The LCD's back light doesn't turn on after restart or power-off. So, to make it turned on, I need to start the laptop, put it in sleep on the log-on screen, then wake it up immediately. How ridiculous it is! It diminishes the advantage of faster boot from sleep mode.

Going back to Vista is equally painful, so I'll keep Windows 7 installation, and hope that the chip set manufacturer will release somewhat better driver in the future...
